Walk – Winter Hill 19 Jun 2019

Many thanks to Helen Meanwell for coming up with a different location…AND the first one this summer without rain – well done!  Helen also obtained permission from the farmer for us to take photos in his barn full of old tractors and equipment which was excellent.   We then relocated to a field of barley where we came across a very large beetle which engrossed a few of us for a while.  This was followed by a walk in the woods around the brick works where we  found several very large snails.  Then to top it off there was a family of foxes running back and forwards across the lane which a few members managed to catch on camera.  I am sure we will see some of the images from this evening in the summer wildlife challenge…
